I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Strategy & Entrepreneurship at the Norwegian Business School (BI). During 2022-2023, I was a Research Associate at Harvard University. Previously, I was a visiting scholar at Stockholm School of Economics and Bruegel Institute, an EU Fellow and a senior economist/data scientist at the Norwegian Tax Authority.
My research is focused on financing entrepreneurship and innovation, and entrepreneurial strategy, and how digitalization affects both. I study how funders, founders, and managers make decisions, and influence entrepreneurship and innovation.
I currently teach Innovation Strategy and Technological Change, and Machine Learning for Business at BI, and previously taught on startup financing and econometrics. I am an adhoc reviewer for Review of Economic Studies, Small Business Economics, Academy of Management, among other journals.
