I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Strategy & Entrepreneurship at the Norwegian Business School (BI). I am currently a visiting Research Associate at the Weatherhead Center at Harvard University. Previously, I was a visiting scholar at Stockholm School of Economics and Bruegel Institute, an EU Fellow and a senior economist/data scientist at the Norwegian Tax Authority.

My research is focused on financing entrepreneurship and innovation, and entrepreneurial strategy.

In particular, I study how the characteristics of founders, funders and financial intermediaries (e.g. crowdfunding platforms, VCs, banks) shape decision-making, as well as how characteristics of firms and financial intermediaries affect entrepreneurial and innovation strategy.

So far results of my research have been published in Entrepreneurship, Theory and Practice and Small Business Economics

I currently teach Innovation Strategy and Technological Change, and Machine Learning for Business at BI, and previously taught on startup financing and econometrics.
