Ed Saiedi
I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Strategy & Entrepreneurship at the Norwegian Business School (BI), and a Startup Advisor. During 2022-2023, I was a Research Associate at Harvard University. Previously, I was a visiting scholar at Stockholm School of Economics and Bruegel Institute, an EU Fellow and a senior economist/data scientist at the Norwegian Tax Authority.
My research is focused on financing entrepreneurship and innovation, and entrepreneurial strategy, and how digitalization affects both. I study how funders, founders, and firms make decisions, and influence entrepreneurship and innovation.
So far results of my research have been published in Entrepreneurship, Theory and Practice and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and featured by outlets such as the Nasdaq and the World Bank's Policy Research.
I currently teach Innovation Strategy and Technological Change, Machine Learning for Business, and Cloud, Crowd & Sustainable Innovation at BI, and previously taught on startup financing, analytics and econometrics.
